Daniel Orozco Estudio explores design as a dialogue between material, form, and meaning. Rooted in a deep observation of nature, the studio approaches creation through an obsessive attention to textures, shapes, and raw matter. Everyday objects become a starting point, reinterpreted, refined, and transformed into sculptural pieces that challenge conventional typologies while remaining grounded in function. Working primarily with natural resources, the studio develops furniture and decorative objects that blur the line between utility and art. Based in Tulum, Daniel Orozco is a visionary Mexican designer recognized for creating interiors and objects defined by sophistication, innovation, and an instinctive artistic sensibility. Sustainability is central to Daniel Orozco Estudio’s practice, shaped by a zero-waste approach that treats material as both resource and narrative. Offcuts from larger works are reintroduced into the studio’s process, becoming smaller objects that extend the life of each element and highlight its natural character. The studio works closely with local artisans, supporting craft traditions within the Mayan community while sourcing materials locally and responsibly. Across its body of work, DOE maintains a consistent language, organic textures, tactile surfaces, and carefully balanced proportions, where each piece feels anchored in place and shaped by a deep respect for the environment. The result is a collection of objects that read as functional sculptures: quiet, grounded, and unmistakably connected to the landscape that inspires them.
