DOVAIN
Dovain Studio emerges from a pursuit of beauty, sensuality, and refinement, driven by a desire to merge elegance with instinct and imagination. Founded as a multidisciplinary design brand, the studio creates lighting, furniture, and objects that balance precision with a subtle sense of play. Rooted in a dialogue between classical references and contemporary expression, Dovain’s language unfolds through color, texture, and form, sometimes restrained, sometimes daring, always intentional. Behind the studio is creative director Sergio Prieto, a Spanish artist-designer born in Talavera de la Reina in 1994. Trained in painting from an early age before moving into design, Prieto has lived and worked across China, India, France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. These experiences shaped a vision that blends discipline with emotion, structure with sensuality, and design with a quietly rebellious spirit.
Material excellence and craftsmanship are central to Dovain’s identity. Wood, marble, metal, and refined finishes are selected for their visual depth, durability, and expressive potential. Many pieces are produced on demand, often following direct exchanges with clients to fine-tune proportions, colors, and finishes. Lighting occupies a particularly important place within the studio’s work. For Prieto, light is not only functional but emotional, an element capable of shaping atmosphere and enhancing everyday rituals. Lamps are conceived almost as jewelry: composed with rare, multicolored metals, polished surfaces, and carefully calibrated details. Whether through sculptural suspensions, table lamps, or floor pieces, each object is treated as an artwork in its own right. Produced in small batches with a close dialogue between concept and fabrication, Dovain’s creations embody a form of understated luxury, where warmth, color, and precision coexist. More than objects, they propose a way of living, inviting imagination, joy, and emotion into contemporary spaces.
