GEORGIEV KIRIL
Georgiev Kiril is a multidisciplinary architect and designer whose practice operates at the intersection of architecture, light, and form. Trained as an architect and guided by observation and experimentation, he approaches design as a process of distillation, bringing together elements that initially seem unrelated in order to reveal new relationships. Rooted in precision yet driven by intuition, his work translates structural thinking into poetic, tactile objects that exist between design and art. Through bespoke architecture, interior projects, and custom-made furniture, Georgiev develops a language where geometry is softened by light and material presence becomes emotional. His practice is not concerned with isolated objects, but with creating continuations of life itself, forms that feel embedded in their environment rather than imposed upon it.
Georgiev’s process is grounded in deep respect for materials and craftsmanship. He listens to matter, testing its limits, reading its signals, understanding when pressure causes rupture or when hesitation leads to distortion. Through laborious making, constant iterations, and an acceptance of failure as a form of guidance, each piece evolves through dialogue rather than control. Glass and metal feature prominently in his lighting and sculptural works, chosen for their ability to hold tension between fragility and strength. His approach balances innovation with tradition, seeking new techniques while remaining faithful to time-honored crafts and collaborating with artisans who have spent lifetimes refining their skills. Educated in architecture in London, with studies at the University of Westminster and The London School of Architecture, and professional experience across Europe, Georgiev now works from Sofia, Bulgaria. His practice reflects a belief in restraint and clarity, objects shaped by patience, balance, and an ongoing search for harmony between structure, material, and emotion.
