LUCAS SIMOES
Lucas Simões approaches material as a language through which meaning is constructed rather than as an end in itself. Trained as an architect, he develops a practice where technique and poetics are closely intertwined. Working across painting, cartography, paper, steel, and concrete, his sculptures and installations reflect an ongoing investigation into brutalist architecture, exploring the tension between structure, material presence, and the erosion of utopian ideals.
