Joyful Objects, Yes! is a Mexico City-based design studio founded in 2021 by industrial designer Joy Valdez, originally from Mérida, Yucatán. Her practice embraces playfulness as a design language, challenging the idea that objects must be serious or restrained. Deeply rooted in Mexican culture and craftsmanship, Joy’s work often incorporates traditional materials such as chuspata. Through sinuous, wave-like forms inspired by movement and kinetic energy, her pieces bring vibrancy, individuality, and a sense of joy into everyday interior spaces.
