Article 01 Stool
The Article 01 stool gathers soft folds into a compact volume of mirror-polished stainless steel. Its rounded outline catches fragments of the surrounding room, allowing reflections to shift across the surface and give this solid-looking form a liquid appearance.

Surface Collection brings the aesthetics of the digital world into physical objects. Through tables, seats, consoles, and mirrors, the collection transforms digital forms into functional pieces with fluid lines. Each creation plays with the perception of material, reflection, and surface, subtly changing the way its surroundings are experienced.
Studio NAWA is a Chicago-based creative partnership founded by media artist Alina Nazmeeva and architect John Wagner. Their practice combines digital simulation, material experimentation and stainless steel fabrication. The Surface Collection translates virtual forms into reflective tables, seating, stands and mirrors. Modeling, scale prototypes and metalworking guide the passage from digital image to physical object, with polished surfaces that respond to their surroundings and reshape perceptions of form and space.
