Kim Byungsub is a Seoul based designer working across furniture, objects and spatial design. His practice brings antique Korean furniture into new relationships with steel, preserving traces of earlier uses within contemporary forms for everyday use. In the Narrative series, lacquerware panels and carved wood join precise metal structures. The UB works explore oxidized steel as a pictorial surface, while the Ply stool reveals the layered edges of birch plywood.
