Paul Hardy
Ustio Floor Lamp
A tall burnt steel column opens into rounded cutouts that reveal the light inside. Its broad upper edge curls outward, while blue and amber heat marks follow the uneven metal surface, giving the floor lamp a richly marked vertical outline.

Paul Hardy is an architect and designer based in Pantin, near Paris. His furniture draws on construction materials, geological formations and industrial landscapes. Sand, ash, rubble and steel are shaped into seating, tables, lighting and mirrors, retaining marks of cutting, erosion and heat. Rough mineral surfaces meet simple structural forms, making texture and material transformation central to objects developed through direct experiments with the physical properties of their constituent materials.
