Paul Hardy is an architect and designer based in Pantin, near Paris. His furniture draws on construction materials, geological formations and industrial landscapes. Sand, ash, rubble and steel are shaped into seating, tables, lighting and mirrors, retaining marks of cutting, erosion and heat. Rough mineral surfaces meet simple structural forms, making texture and material transformation central to objects developed through direct experiments with the physical properties of their constituent materials.
