Cătălin Filip
Petrichor Wall Piece
Petrichor is a ceramic wall work formed from twelve connected tiles. Folds and creases move across the surface, suggesting softness against clay. Echoing impressions left in sand as the tide withdraws, these marks reflect time, memory, and slow marine rhythms.

Handmade and part of a limited collection, it reflects a sculptural approach to ceramic furniture and lighting.
Cătălin Filip is a Romanian born, UK based artist and architect working primarily with clay. He creates sculptural lamps and installations shaped by gravity and the natural behavior of raw material. By bending, pulling, and stretching, he captures clay’s fluid motion, then fixes it into stone like forms. His work draws from organic distortions in nature, preserving visible traces of making and a clear architectural sense of proportion and balance.
