Molten Checks
Molten Checks is a sculptural brass piece formed as a continuous volume with taut, segmented surfaces. Exposed check lines retain the making process as a visual language, allowing mass, light, and materiality to shape its dialogue with space.

Vahe develops a sculptural practice at the intersection of art and function, rooted in the reinterpretation of indigenous craft traditions. Working across papier-mâché, brass, and textile, the studio treats material as language, shaping contemporary forms through gesture, time, and slow production. Each piece is handmade in India using recycled paper pulp and natural binders. Recent works integrate metal as both structure and narrative, combining weaving, assembly, and direct fastening in a restrained dialogue between tradition, abstraction, and presence.
